Linda Landry Miller is pleased to have kicked off her participation in the Desert Bar Association by attending DBA’s 41st Bird Awards and Distinguished Judges Night, an annual tradition in which the legal community “roasts” itself by presenting its signature “Bird Award” roadrunner trophy for most comical and/or strange events of the year, and featuring a live stage production in which lawyers, judges, court clerks, staff, and other DBA friends gamely and willingly risk embarrassment in a parody of a popular movie or tv show. This year was no exception, with its Saturday Night Live themed show brilliantly produced by Webb Weiman – complete with a live performance by the Henry Welles band starring drummer Ed Cross, and Retired Judge Robert G.
